For the unfamiliar, KALX is UC Berkeley's excellent college radio station. It's by far my favorite method of music discovery. Their playlists are curated sets of wildly diverse and obscure music that would make your average hipster's musical tastes look like top 40 radio. This hack is my attempt at harnessing the wealth of musical knowledge that goes into a college radio station.

With KALX+, you're able to browse and listen to playlists created by KALX DJs over the past two and a half years. You can search by musical genre and 'diversity'. A low diversity playlist is one that sticks to a specific genre, while a high diversity playlist incorporates many, unrelated genres.
