Terms and Conditions of Use

Please read these Terms and Conditions of Use carefully as they form an agreement between you and Intel Services Division LLC (“Intel”, “we”, “us” or “our”) that governs your use of www.hackerleague.org (the “Website”), the hackathon management services run via www.hackerleague.org and all associated materials and services (collectively, “HackerLeague”). We reserve the right to update and change these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time and may do so by posting amended terms to this Website. If you do not accept all of the terms, do not use HackerLeague.

1. Terms

By accessing the Website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use, the HackerLeague privacy policy (made available from time to time on the Website), all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Website. The materials contained in the Website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

  1. Permission is granted a non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable right to use HackerLeague and the materials associated with HackerLeague. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

    1. Sell, rent, lend, resell or sublicense HackerLeague to any third party or use it in a service provider capacity
    2. Access HackerLeague to build a competitive service or product or to copy any feature, function or graphic for competitive purposes
    3. Store or transmit any data (i) that is illegal to store or transmit; (ii) containing unlawful, defamatory, threatening, pornographic, abusive, or libelous material, (iii) containing any material that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, (iv) that violates the intellectual property rights or rights to the publicity or privacy of others, or (v) that contains malicious code
    4. modify or copy the materials;
    5. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
    6. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained in HackerLeague;
    7. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
    8. transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
  2. Each party hereto shall maintain all rights, title and interest in and to all its respective patents, inventions, copyrights, trademarks, domain names, trade secrets, know-how and any other intellectual property and/or proprietary rights (collectively, “Intellectual Property Rights”). The rights granted to you to use HackerLeague do not convey any rights in HackerLeague, or in any Intellectual Property Rights associated therewith, except as explicitly set forth above. You are not obligated to provide us with comments or suggestions for the modification, correction, improvement or enhancement of HackerLeague, but if you do, such comments and suggestions will be owned by us.
  3. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by us at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

3. Disclaimer

The materials on the Website are provided "as is", “with all faults” and “as available”. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim and negate all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL INTEL, ITS PARENT COMPANY, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF PROFITS, INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS OR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE. INTEL, ITS PARENT COMPANY, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR INFRINGEMENT OR ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS RELATING TO HACKERLEAGUE.

5. Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on the Website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. We do not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. We may make changes to the materials contained in HackerLeague at any time without notice. We do not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

Any claim relating to HackerLeague shall be governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of Delaware without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
