Park + Charge is an Android app that enables motorists to quickly find the closest available parking and electric vehicle charging facilities and compare prices to find the best deal. A website is in development; an iOS app is TBD.
Without an app like Park + Charge, you must launch an app specific to a particular charging station company, find the locations of their stations, write down the addresses, then put that address information into yet another app (Google Maps). If you don’t like the results you retrieve, you have to launch yet another company’s app, then another, etc., which is time-consuming. This process also doesn’t enable you do a price comparison in any efficient way. In short: without an app like Park + Charge, gathering updated information about parking and charging facilities is cumbersome and time-consuming.
Park & Charge combines location and pricing data from multiple sources into one easy-to-use app. You can easily find parking and charging stations by region instead of by company and do quick price comparisons to determine the most economical option for you.
How Park + Charge works
On the front page, enter an address and a search radius. Click to instantly retrieve a list of parking and charging stations and their addresses, telephone numbers, hours of service, availability of charging stations, parking and sharing rates, rules and regulations, accepted forms of payment, number of spaces, and special notes. Free ervices are marked with a special icon. Click on your facility of choice to view a Google Map of the location and get directions.
